densipolish
Densi Polished Floor is a novel concept in industrial flooring. Densi Polished Floors is not simply exposing the rock in the concrete mix. Heavy duty grinding machines, equipped with progressively finer grits of diamonds impregnated discs, gradually grind the concrete surface, which is then densified with Nano Lithium silicate. The hardened and densified surface is then polished with high speed polishing machine.

It consists of three processes :

  1. Grinding: The process begins with the use of coarse diamond segments bonded in metallic matrix. They are coarse enough to remove the laitance, blemishes, stains from the concrete substrate. The first used diamond tools create heavy scar on the concrete and expose the internal ingredients. The second stage grinding removes the scars created in the first state. The grinding process involves 3-4 steps with different grades of diamond tools.
  2. Densifying:The silicates (Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and Lithium silicates) react with calcium hydroxide present in the concrete to produce calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H), the same material that results from the reaction between portland cement and water, giving concrete much of its strength and adhesion. This newly created C-S-H is deposited primarily in the pores, cracks and capillaries of the concrete slab. Out of the four kinds of silicates, Lithium silicates are more reactive, more penetrative and more efficient than the other three
  3. Polishing: Polishing is done by sophisticated imported polishing machines using resin mounded polish tools with 4 stages

Time & Slab Factors

The concrete should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 28 days before our process commences. The rate of the surface preparation, polishing, and sealing process can range from 100 to 200 sq. mt. per day, depending upon the condition of the concrete, interior obstructions, and other concurrent activities. Specific factors involved are the cleanliness of concrete, slab condition (joints, cuts, holes, etc.) and overall smoothness of the slab.

Ease Of Maintenance

Simple cleaning and maintenance, done correctly, are all that’s required for a long-lasting polished floor. Due to its resistance to tire marks and other contaminants, the floor only needs a light cleaning with auto scrubber. When maintained properly, the floor never requires harsh chemicals to clean or strip the surface like some other processes.
